Swindon travelled to Bristol and secured three points from newly promoted Jaspers with a convincing 5-1 win.
Swindon's first came courtesy of a deflected own goal after captain Gemma Scrase drove into the circle. Victoria Stokes made it 2-0 from a penalty corner but this was her last impact on the game as she picked up a head injury that forced her to receive medical treatment.
Jaspers started the second half strongly and kept Swindon's keeper Sarah Newman busy but it was Swindon's youngest player Chloe Lewis who scored the next goal. After some intelligent work from Gael Little a long ball found Rachel King who's pass allowed Lewis to tap in from close range to make the score 3-0.
A well worked penalty corner gave Jaspers their only goal but a sublime individual effort from Adriana Boullosa and a calmly converted goal from midfield teenager Charlie George made the final result 5-1.
After the game, captain Gemma Scrase was releaved. "With last weeks defeat, three points was our only target. Jaspers had some really strong players so I'm happy we put in a good performance but I still see areas we need to improve on".
