Swindon scored seven goals to win the West Premier League 2a in style and secure promotion to Premier 1. They dominated their opposition City of Bath in a must win title deciding game from start to finish.
Within three minutes Chloe Lewis followed up from her own penalty corner strike for the first goal. Adriana Boullosa scored a stunning second goal when she smashed a shot into the roof of the net. Bollousa was pivotal for Swindon's third after a run and shot was followed up by Victoria Stokes who found the net from close range.
The second half was full of Swindon possession and goals. Their fourth came after fourteen minutes when Charlie George tapped in following a long run from the ever dangerous Bollousa. Swindon's fith was a well crafted goal built from the back into midfield and when Rachel King's pass found Vicky Stokes, she scored her second goal of the game.
In the last ten minutes of the game Linda Brouwers powered into the circle from a quick free hit and scored Swindon's sixth from a straight strike. The final goal came from a prodigious penalty corner drag flick from teenager Lewis which flew into the roof of the net.
After the game, coach Craig Sage complimented the Swindon team 'they thoroughly deserve this victory and promotion. Our thanks go to Charlie George, Rachel King and Gael Little who depart to university next year'.
