Sweet taste of victory for the ladies

Ladies 2's 4-1 win against Chippenham

With it being a friendly this gave the juniors time to shine... which they did! Swindon put on early pressure in the first half with runs through the middle of the park and a cheeky pass into Charlotte Bell from Chloe Lewis meant Charlotte could slot away her 2nd goal for the club which got Swindon off to a great start. Not long after Chloe lewis set up charlotte bell for another goal but this one less stylish as she managed to get it out of her feet ....eventually . Not to mention Chloe Lewis's missed her first penalty flick, which we wont go into detail !! Being 2-0 meant Swindon were now starting to flourish and really show what ladies 2's are made of! Daisy Mussard then scored her first goal for the club in only her second game! which we think, was from a magnificent pass from Chloe Peppiatt who is in outstanding form at the moment and definitely the bruises are paying off. Will she be able to keep this form after Xmas though even after all those roast potatoes? Swindon were having an absolute cracker of a game though with Scarlet Walton showing why she has had great success in the juniors and deserved runner up for man of the match. She was showing her player who was boss and made some great interceptions! With everyone having such great games we didn't want to stop there, with runs down the right by me and chloe and a great 1-2 with Sue Roberts meant I could get my first goal this season ... Thanks Rab! Swindon were unlucky to concede but were caught on the break. Patricia Woods-Annan had a great game playing center back for the first time this season for the 2's and definitely made the position her own with some fabulous tackles and blocks to prevent the score line from changing. Lucy Anne Smale had her best game in goal with some outstanding saves from shorts and is definitely growing into being a superstar goalie ! Sarah Dugmore also made some great blocks and runs down the left which she has done well all season and has become a strong and solid figure at the back for the ladies this season. Louise Siddorn was a magician on the pitch always appearing in the right places always! and to make an award-winning tackle which prevent them from scoring. Lydia Walker had another great game who managed to set up forward play nicely and held the ball up to then deliver the perfect ball.
Well done ladies what a show-case we delivered today, You all should treat yourself to extra roast potatoes and all the trimmings (watch out Chloe) and all deserved man of the match.

However man of the match did go to lucy smale who made some great saves and was rock in the goal. No one is getting passed you easily !

Merry Xmas everyone and see you at social next Saturday !
