Very positive for second half of the season !

Swindon ladies 2's 1-3 Gloucester
A really unlucky result but everyone played really well considering the break from xmas and all the mince pies and roast potatoes (Chloe Peppiatt). Swindon didnt get off to the best of starts considering how slippy the pitch was with several tumbles and falls even before the match had begun ! ......I blame my shoes ! Swindon created many chances in the first half with Kim Taylor making a welcome return to the sport and with Sue Roberts on form, but were unlucky to not convert. Rhianne Groom also ate her wheatabix this morning and was making some great runs and holding up the ball well against a tough back four. The rock, Jo Harding, started off in an unusual position upfront, but we quickly realized we needed her skills in the heart of our defense. With now the 3 musketeers: Chloe Peppiatt, Jo Harding and Louise Siddorn swindon were able to control the game more through the middle prevent one of their strongest players to have much possession. Scarlet Walton made some great tackles at the back against a tricky opponent along with Patricia Woods-Annan. Charlotte Bell made some great runs and passes down the left and was unfortunate with one of her shots. Daisy Mussard was also unlucky to not reach a deflected shot at the far post but made some good runs and played a part in the goal. With a great sliding pass from Chloe followed with some cheeky 1-2's in the D between Rhianne and Sue Roberts Swindon managed to nick a well deserved goal. Definitely worth the fall chloe Very positive for the first league game back next week and hopefully we will be netting a few more goals next week. Well played Ladies x
