Amazing 7-0 win for the Ladies!
Swindon 2's 7 - 0 North Wilts
Hockey is back and so are the ridiculously long and glamorous match reports whoohooo! The ladies sure made sure I had a lot to write about with an outstanding team performance in their first friendly even with lots of new faces in the side. Things are looking bright after today's performance for the 2's this season after last season's survival marathon. Mumma kimmy Kim Taylor scored first with a vicious strike from the top of the D, after linking up well with the new addition Hannah Lewis, who made an unstoppable run down the left wing. Kimmy Kim on fire today then completed her hat-trick with some amazing goals!
Michelle Harding got the second goal after a cheeky chip over the keeper from a short corner, carrying on her scoring tally from last season. Sue Roberts then added her name onto the score sheet who scored 2 stunning goals. Hannah got her reward for her effort with the final goal, swooping it in at the far post. Swindon dominated possession with great passes and confidence on the ball creating a fortress at the back. Izzy Harding was as cool as a cumber in defense who had a great first match for 2's controlling the ball and making some outstanding tackles..like mother like daughter. Kayleigh and Paige also making their debuts who also had good games with some great runs from Kayleigh down the left and Paige showing her confidence to smother the ball on a 1 on 1 with the forward. Jo Harding again the wall at the back, made some great tackles carrying on her good form and showing her bag of tricks with an attempt for a cheeky reverse lift over the opposition's stick but unfortunately lifting the ball straight out of play... clearly a small bag! Scarlet Walton again grows grows with confidence every game making some world class tackles, looking like a solid little player. Gemma Court came so close to scoring her first goal after hitting the post but unfortunately wasn't the day. An awesome game ladies absolutely brilliant !!!!!!!
