Unlucky loss but win is on the horizon

Swindon 2's 0 -2 Corsham
Ladies 2's were unlucky to come away with no points after battling against a well organised Corsham team. Swindon dominated the first half with possession and chances but came away with no goals. Kim Taylor kept their keeper under pressure with a few shots saved early on with Helen Niblock and Sarah Dugmore making good use of space down the wings, setting up a few chances. Swindon were caught on the break a few times but an absolutely outstanding performance by Mollie Selwood in goal kept the game alive, making it 0-0 at the break. Early on in the second saw the same situation with Swindon pushing for the first goal. Bethany George made some great runs down the middle and was unlucky not to get a sneaky goal past their keeper and Jo Harding, again playing the vital anchor role in midfield. distributed the ball well and made some great tackles. Mean machine, Charlie Watson, battled it out everywhere on the pitch showing great hunger and fight to push for the win... not the only thing pushing for! A good accidental shoulder barge/block can help keep the pressure on against the opposition. Shortly after. Swindon saw their best chance of the game coming from a fantastic run by Vinnie Jones herself passing to Ella who fluffed up under the pressure. But great vision from Michelle Harding initially, who saw Charlies angels making an early run and delivered one of her perfect hits to set up a great move.
From that point on the game sank out of Swindon's control and Corsham began to take their chances and a break saw them take the lead. Trying to remain positive Swindon kept pushing for at least a point and came close with a few runs and shorts but nothing came about. Nicci Foster-Kenyon made some great tackles at the back and was unlucky with a late run in the game. The final goal came from a short corner which Mollie was unlucky not to save but still made some cracking saves in open play.
Man of the match: Mollie for making some great saves, always keeping Swindon in the game
Donkey : Charlie for her impression of a brick wall against the oppo.
Keep going ladies, a win is over the horizon!
