Swindon 8 - Marlborough 0

Thanks to Emily for this week's match report:

With Swindon having the first push back starting the match off, they started off hard and within the first few minutes Swindon scored from Kim Taylor. Marlborough tried pushing back but soon enough a goal was scored again from Chloe Silvester, with fire and a fabulous first few minutes to the game Kim scored once more! With some great runs between Jo Harding and Julie Russell soon the ball was passed to Emily King who made a reserve stick towards the goal which was deflected with closed eyes from Emily Brackstone but the ball missed the goal by an inch sadly. Becky Davies followed up with a reverse stick shot into the top corner and then later on a second attempt was made but only managed to take out Marlborough's goalie instead!

In the second half after a strong first half Swindon ran out onto the pitch with the score at a solid 4 - 0 and a new goalie for Marlborough who responded with pressure making Swindon push back. Some great back play from Michele Harding getting the ball back up the pitch and soon enough another 2 goals were scored by Chloe herself! With Marlborough fighting back and a few short corners there was some close shots onto goal but Katie Miles who made a run up the pitch as support from the back made a quick shot into goal scoring the 7th goal for Swindon! With not long left of the match and both teams pushing back and forth on the pitch and several attempts on goal from Swindon it was Becky who scored the penultimate goal of the day before the whistle was blown.

A brilliant day for Swindon with a fabulous score of 8 - 0 and a with a clean sheet for Angela Tovey's debut in goal!
