Swindon ladies 2's won 4-1 against Melksham!
After the late arrivals of Rhianne Groom and Michelle Harding we soon got into our stride and took the lead from me passing to Charlotte Bell who hammered the ball in the back of the net to take an early lead. This gave us the confidence we all needed to push on and achieve another after taking the lead for the first time this season. From another run by me down the right Louise Symons (super sub) smashed home our second ! But she didn't stop there ! She seemed to be absolutely everywhere on the pitch and no one could keep up. From an unbeatable run into the D and then laying off hitting Melkshams foot giving us a 3 goal lead before half time. Melksham did come back strong in the second half and earned a penalty flick which Sarah Newman was REALLY unlucky to miss (but a good intial save). With Swindon then earning a short corner, Michelle Harding wanted to add her name to the score sheet with her strike saved and then rebounded back to her and she slotted it comfortably. Well played EVERYONE ! You all put fantastic effort in and so so so much leg work ! Louise Siddorn made some great tackles at the back ! Lucy Anne Smale did some great stops and runs down the left wing. Charlotte Bell made some great tackles, great pressure on the ball and got rewarded by a good goal. Katy Cannon had another good game with some great runs down the right. Sarah Dugmore made some great tackles and some unstoppable runs (one point in the D and had a shot?!) Charlotte Airey made a great Debut for this season with some great link up play and some good runs with the ball. Sarah Newman made some great saves and was constantly shouting at the back. Jo Harding once again the rock at the back letting nothing pass her and some good runs pushing forward. Also Eleanor Symons was a great coach at the side on her crutches ! thank you so much for your help. Couldnt have done it without your help with subs and shouting at us to put the effort in:)

Man of the Match: Louise Symons (super sub!) and Me (Ella) , but a great performance by everyone and lets carrying this on with a derby against our good old ... "friendly" rivals Marlborough!!! Come on LADIES !
