Unlucky loss against local rivals

A really unlucky loss for the ladies this week considering the second half Marlborough only got the ball in our D twice in the second half ! Swindon were unlucky to go 2 goals down in the first half after dominating the possession. But at half time Jo Harding kept everyone's sense of humor up and being her "sober" state even suggest "the goal doesn't even look like it's on the pitch" - coming from the lady who the team completely trust to defend our goal ! but to be fair she had a good game ...considering, with some very interesting tackles!
With Swindon knocking on the door constantly and a little bit of magic and determination from Sue Roberts swindon managed to get an extremely well deserved goal. With Louise Siddorn making some absolutely great tackles and along with Michelle Harding swindon managed to keep knocking on the door of Marlborough's defense. Once Chloe Peppiatt found her feet after falling over every 5 minutes Swindon kept the pressure on and were away. Unfortunately with all this possession and attacks we were caught on the break and did concede a goal. But never letting this get us down, all the girls came out with more determination and fight to get another. Jo Harding still keeping the game spirit even managed a cheeky "dummy" (which wasn't planned or expected!) to get round the Marlborough attack. With a saved shot by me, Rhianne Groom followed up and slotted another one home before the final whistle. Outstanding effort from everyone ! and definitely deserved some points but were unlucky.

Man of the match was chloe Peppiatt with some great stops and tackles on a difficult pitch and some brilliant forward movement controlling the middle.

Eleanor Symons was once again fab coachie ! and enjoyed her day out !
