A point added to the tally !

Swindon Ladies 2's 1-1 West Wilts (at least 20 short corners saved by swindon!)

A welcomed point for the 2's this weekend after a tough defensive shift put in by everyone, paid off and another point added to the tally. The magic short corner team: Lucy Anne Smale, Chloe Peppiatt, Jo Harding, Sarah Dugmore and myself managed to keep out ALL of the 20 short corners awarded - training definitely paid off ! Swindon also had a bit of magic from the young forward, Daisy Mussard, who was making her debut for the league and managed to score a cracker first time shot which equalized it for us, after a classy bit of skill from Charlotte Bell in the midfield. A bit of luck finally came round for the 2's and we managed to hold on to what we had from a ultimate partnership of Jo Harding and Chloe Peppiatt in our defense controlling the game. We had to result to desperate measures though of even using our bum cheeks to stop the ball from going in the back of the net .....didn't we Chloe.P, certainly wasn't a foot after all ! A really good game girls and definitely some positives to take from the game with good partnerships developing: Rhianne Groom, Daisy Mussard and Kim Taylor. Scarlet Walton had another fantastic game making some great tackles and great defensive shift put in!

Man of the match: Lucy Smale and Daisy Mussard - after a great goal and some brilliant saves in the second half keeping us in the game ! Very well deserved.
