Great victory, Push up from bottom!

Swindon Ladies 2's brought home the bacon with a feisty and fierce performance shown to land Swindon ladies 2's 3 POINTS in the bag $$

Swindon Ladies 2's 2 - 1 Chippenham 2's.

An absolute cracker of a game saw the ladies snatch their second win of the season which was extremely well deserved. Swindon's luck seems to be changing and the grass is definitely greener on the other side with the recent results the ladies have been getting after crimbo.... Its all those potato's Chloe Peppiatt !
Swindon started the game off with great speed and determination and were powering through the Chippenham defense. With a jammy own goal by their keeper after Charlotte Bell had a cheeky hit outside the D, actually making contact with the ball this time, got Swindon off to a good start. The next goal is definitely up for the nomination for goal of the SEASON ! A well planned move by Louise Symons, who only briefly told me her master plan saw Lynsey Wall telepathically read our minds and passed the ball from a long corner to me who then laid it off to the superb Louise who slotted it home.
After conceding we did look on edge but with the likes of: Jo Harding, Michelle Harding aka. the beast and Chloe Peppiatt in the middle of the defense Swindon were able to bring home the bacon. Great determination showed by everyone and Sarah Dugmore even winning her first green card as a Swindon player. There were definitely some nail biting moments with the help from some what....interesting decisions from the umpires but once again Ladies 2's threw their bodies on the line, bums and all to hold on! Scarlet Walton and Daisy Mussard also had great games with some great clearances at the back in the dying moments of the game by Scarelt and some fab runs by Daisy and great work ethic working back and helping the defense. Also a spectacular save by Lucy Anne Smale in the last moment of the game saving a great short corner! WIN WIN WIN.
Man of the match: Louise Symons with a wonderful goal, even taken from a junior, and some great runs and tackles ......maybe not one But had a fab game and we are extremely grateful to have you !
Donkey of the day: Myself - not realizing a short had been taken, I blame the carlsburg, and for being cheeky to the umpires.
Another thank you to our spectators Coachie Eleanor Symons and Sarah Mussard.
