Storm Dennis was in full force, for Swindon's second round cup match, but that didn't damped the sprits of either team in this 8 goal thriller.

Thanks to Thomas for this match report:

The first goal came as Tom Goldsmith beat a couple of players down the right wing, before finding Adriana Boullosa to slot home the opener 1-0. Winchester responded immediately with an aerial pass off the pushback, which was smartly squared to the back post 1-1. Winchester then scored a with a very hard strike for a mixed game, from the top of the D, 2-1 for the home side.

After some strong building play from Swindon, Ad's hypnotised the Winchester defence to win a P-flick. Up stepped Omega Athlete Thomas Gillingham, to take on the responsibility, and duly didn't deliver a goal. Winchester with the wind in their sails, started to take more control of the game, and after some smart selfish skill from their centre forward, scored past Jonathan Griffiths into the top corner from a tight angle 3-1. Goalie Jonny gave a massive nibble to the goal scorer, and decided to hit the goal scorer on the head with his stick. Luckily he was fortunate that Dutchy was happy to take the 5 minute card for him.

After the moments of madness, Swindon started to build the play with Rachel and Issy down the wings, and started to create more changes. The Omega connection allowed Swindon to score the next, Gillingham sending an aerial pass through to Dave 'The Baron' who slotted it home smartly 3-2. Before half time came, Nathan Sutton got his stick in the way of a Winchester cross, deflecting the ball into a female Winchester players head; A&E for her unfortunately :-(.

In the second half Swindon took more control, and Tom Goldsmith rounded the keeper to put the game level 3-3. After a couple of short corners , Omega Gilly was given the nod to take injections , and pounced on a loose clearance after Dutchy strike, 4-3. Winchester then came back into the game , with Dominic Abbott stepping in front of players well, and keeping the home side out. Unrelenting Winchester managed to get the equaliser to take the game to flicks 4-4 at full time.

Nathan 'I'll take the first flick' Sutton, set the tone and passed the ball straight to the goalie, nice one. Winchester sensed Jonny's weakness in goal when it comes to flicks, and didn't miss.

MOM - Thomas Goldsmith - engine in the middle and smart finishes for his goal.
