The Men's 1st XI made it a couple of wins from a couple of Exeter uni teams this week.
The home team started well, creating a number of good opportunities. The first goal of the game came from a short corner, when all others stalled, Tom Sewell reacted quickest to turn the ball home and give the hosts a deserved lead. Swindon were pegged back by a short corner that went past keeper Jonathan Griffiths.
1-1 quickly became 2-1 as Sewell scored his second of the game from a Luke Cejer cross that eluded the goalkeeper. Before half time Swindon made it 3-1 with a slick move down the right started by Jim Towers who fired I to Tom Wickens. He in turn played the ball out right to luke Cejer, who ran down the line before finding captain Tom Gillingham who finished first time from an acute angle.
Swindon were much poorer in the second half. Despite this, Wickens made the game safe with a fantastic run and smash through the keepers legs.
