Thanks to Tom for this week's match report:
Newly promoted Swindon took the long trip down to the south coast, to take on a young and motivated Plymouth side. Travelling with 11 players, Swindon set their stall out early controlling the pace of the game, and building some strong moves especially down the right.
The scoring was opened by the home side, a well worked move and a smash into the D, found the Plymouth centre forward on the P-spot unmarked. Swindon fought back, capitalising from a short corner, the ball was slipped left to Rob Riddle, who calmly slotted the ball home bottom left corner, clinical.
The pace of the home side caught Swindon for the next two goals, fast paced counter attacking goals, both back post finishes, leaving Jonathan with little chance of keeping the ball out. Tom Goldsmith gave us hope of a comeback in the second half with a smartly worked bit of play in the D with James Young, Tom slotted home for Swindon's second.
Swindon went on to create some clear chances to finish with a draw in the dying minutes of the game, but it wasn't meant to be.
MOM - Daniel Bruce - held is own on debut for the 1's, and setup some smart play down the right
