Swindon got back to their winning ways today. They started the game brightly and had an opportunity to score in the first minutes of the game but were unable to capitalise.
The combination of the foul weather and the Cheltenham midfield meant there were very few chances for either team throughout the half, the major chance for Cheltenham was a break down the left side when a Cheltenham player drove into the D and unleashed a good shot over the advancing keeper, Lex Hogarth, only to be saved by Chloe Lewis who got her stick to it above her head and cleared the ball.
2 minutes before half time, Lewis drove through the Cheltenham midfield and into the D, smashed the ball at the goal, the Cheltenham keeper made a good save, the ball fell onto the floor in front of Adriana Boullosa who slotted it home for Swindon to take the lead.
The second half started well for Cheltenham who pressed Swindon well and Swindons keeper Hogarth had to make some saves.
Swindon were awarded a short corner, Lewis slipped the ball right to Hope Stevenson who put the ball across to Gemma Scrase who didn't miss her opportunity to score Swindons second goal.
The match finished 2-0.
