Ladies 2 v Chippenham

The rain took a short break for the start of the Ladies 2s game. We started off strongly, using our possession and strong stick skills to score in the second min, a reverse hit from Becky Davies. We got another goal on 10 mins, Kim Taylor converting a rebound past the keeper.

Chippenham got back in the game towards the end of the first half with a shot from the top of the D, squeezing past a few defenders and into the goal. First half ended 2-2 when Chippenham converted a short corner with a straight strike past the post.

Second half started as the first half ended with a Chippenham player running the length of the pitch, beating Sarah Anstey and passing it to another player who pushed it into the open goal. Swindon came back strong despite the rain which had started pouring down. A goal mouth scramble ended with Katie Miles being on the back post and pushing the ball past the keeper.

The game ended 3-3.
