Bristol UWE A 0 - 3 Swindon Men's 1st

Bristol UWE A 0 Swindon 3

Following a disappointing result last weekend, the 1st XI ground out a hard fought result at a UWE team suffering a lack of confidence in their first home league game of the season.

Swindon took advantage of the quality playing surface and eventually made their dominance pay, with a second goal of the season for Matthew Wilcox. Shortly afterwards, skipper Luke Cejer turned the ball home with a tidy finish.

Despite a 2-0 half time scoreline, Swindon knew they needed to up the intensity again and learn from the previous week. They continued to press well, limiting the home side to half chances. With just a few minutes left, Towers found Henry Cheney through the middle, who unselfishly set up James Lewis to score his first ever goal for the ones (wooooooossshhh!!!), settling the result.

Next week we travel to Leominster. Man of the match, Parsons, donkey, Thomas Hunt (devo'd).
