The men's first team came away with a deserved win following a war of attrition against a physical side.
Normal service was observed, with Swindon largely dominating the home side. Captain Luke Cejer played a one-two with Parsons at the top of the circle before blasting the ball beyond the keeper with a ferocious reverse.
The second half saw Swindon let Leominster back in, Towers and central defensive partner Thomas Hunt conspiring to hang Alan Gough out to dry... despite the setback, Swindon continued to work hard. With less than ten minutes left, Henry Cheney picked up the ball, driving at the defence, before playing a fantastic one-two pass with Lewis Dyer. The opportunity proved too good to miss, as Henners scuffed the ball beyond several defenders and the keeper. The goal cost him dearly, with a suspected broken collarbone for his trouble.
With a 3rd win on the road out of three, we face a tough game at home next week against early pace setters Cardiff & Met B; any support would be welcomed ahead of the Halloween party!
