Thanks to Tom for the following match report:
Swindon travelled to Gloucester hoping to build on the recent run of good form. The game started at a high pace. Swindon took the lead through a lovely flowing goal finished off in style by Tom S. Despite controlling the game, some defensive mistakes lead to Gloucester getting back into the game and taking a 2-1 lead into half time.
The second half kicked off at the same high tempo and Swindon starting to move through the gears, Tom Wickens smartly finished bringing Swindon level. Unfortunately again Gloucester took the lead back just as it seemed the game was turning. Swindon had a goal disallowed and then a second scored opportunity being pulled back for a penalty flick. Coach Rob stepped up to bury the flick but unfortunately the post had other ideas.
Still 3-2 and Swindon really started to pile on the pressure, Gloucester were struggling to cope. James Young deftly scored the equaliser and then 5 minutes from time Dan Palomeque was on hand to roof the winner following a burst from Goldsmith down the right.
The victory takes Swindon 6 points clear of 3rd and just a point behind Swansea. Next week, Plymouth Marion make the long trip up to Fortress Deanery.
