With time running out Swindon continued to press hard and in the end this was to prove their downfall, with less than 30 seconds on the clock the forwards lost possession and Whitchurch broke quickly, with the defence stretched the cross into the Swindon area was met with a first time strike that sent the ball into the top corner of the Swindon goal, as one umpire was blowing his whistle for the goal the other was blowing his whistle for full time.
