Bath BuccsA 2 - Swindon 1

Swindon made the short trip to Bath to face Team Bath Bucs A in their latest Premiership encounter, missing 4 starting XI players the Swindon squad was strengthened by the welcome return of Jonny Ashby, who was back from work commitments in Egypt and it was the experienced player Ashby that brought the Swindon side back into the game late on in the first half after Bucs had taken the lead mid way through the half, Ashby deflecting the ball into the goal from close range, this inspired the Swindon side and minutes later were denied another goal after Tom Gillingham’s shot flew back off the post.

The second half saw Swindon work hard, and the players commitment across the back of Tyres, Dyer, Wickens and Saunders were an inspiration to the rest of the team, and with time running out it look like the under strength team would hold out for a draw, but to the dismay of the visitors the Bath forward got a lucky break and smashed home from close range, getting a couple of deflection on the way into the Swindon net. The Swindon forwards squandered a couple of changes late on, with chances just slipping wide of the post and play around the area not being capitalised on.
