Swindon A 2 - 0 Marlborough

Swindon today played away at Marlborough with an early start of 10am. We started the game by combining our counting skills together, leading us to realise that Marlborough did not have a full squad. However we did not use this to our advantage.

At half time with the score 0-0, Nathan Sutton, the talismanic centre back was instructed to show the forwards how to do it, and become the talismanic centre forward.

Marlborough had a full squad in the second half and so we knew a big effort was needed. Dominic Abbott led the charge in the second half, by picking a drag flick on the line, Sutton then latched on a through ball and put it past the keeper on my reverse. 1-0 Swindon.

Unfortunately we did concede a short corner. However, Sutton managed to save the shot on the line.

With 10 minutes to go, Darryl Carpenter fizzed a cross in to the D, which I deflected in to the top corner. 2-0 Swindon.

For the last 10 minutes, Swindon gave it their all. So resolute was our defending, that Marlborough didn’t register a shot on goal in the last 10.
