Thanks to Nathan for this week's match report:
Today Swindon’s second team did what our first team are unable to do and beat Clifton Robinson’s.
Lead by their talismanic centre back (& 3rd team coach), Nathan Sutton, Swindon started the game strongly, putting Clifton under great pressure.
15 minutes in to the second half, a short corner was won by Clifton. The shot was going wide, however Sutton kicked it in to the goal, injuring himself in the process. 1-0 Clifton.
Swindon made a swift come back knocking 3 goals into the net.
Unfortunately some slack defending led to Clifton scoring just before half time, 3-2.
In the second half Clifton scored to equalise the game.
Within a few minutes, the second team starlet Seb Sweeting drove hard in to the D and fired a hard shot in with Dan Hindon deflecting to guide the shot in. 4-3 to Swindon.
With 10 minutes left on the clock, Swindon gave everything they had. Every single player gave it their all and we held on for a crucial victory.
MoM - Seb Sweeting (again) - Great performance and a credit to the team
