Marlborough B 3 - 0 Swindon B

Contrary to the result Swindon put in a very strong performance against one of the top teams in the league.
The first goal came from a strong Marlborough attack after a prolonged spell of Marlborough procession. Dan was wrong footed meaning the shot was able to trickle in the bottom corner.
A penalty flick was awarded when Dom forget that he wasn't playing in goal and stopped a shot on the line. The penalty flick was saved by dan/the post.
Swindon started to play some very good possession hockey and almost drew level just before half time.
The second half started the way the first ended with swindon playing well and defensively strong in clearing the lines.
After a spell of prolonged pressure Marlborough won a short corner that was scored with a straight strike that went through Dan's legs.
Towards the end of the game fitness started to tell for the Swindon team and Marlborough used this to their advantage and scored the third goal.
A good performance from Swindon from which we can hopefully build.
Next match is Home against Corsham who are top of the league.
