Swindon completed the first half of the season with a comfortable 4-0 win over City of Bath.
Rachel King opened the scoring after 15 minutes when she smashed home a close range shot following some careful build up by Swindon. The second goal came from Swindon's hard working forward Vicky Stokes as soon as she came on the pitch from a substitution and powered the ball into the corner of the net.
Swindon scored a third which was a second goal for teenage midfielder King, after some creative work down the Swindon right, King latched onto a cross from Gemma Scrase and her shot gave the keeper no chance.
With Swindon controlling the second half and Bath forced to defned, the result never looked in doubt. Swindon created numerous chances with debutant Emma Brown narrowly missing a scoring chance. Eventually Lynsey Wall scored Swindon's 4th when she swept a cross from Gael Little into the net.
Swindon go into the Christmas break 5 points behind front running Newent and will have to defeat the leaders away to stand any chance of promotion.
