The Swindon side made the journey down the M4 to Yate for their match against City of Bath.
The Swindon side started off strong, they pressed the City of Bath team well and it wasn't long before their pressure paid off and Swindon's Chloe Lewis put away a lovely reverse stick goal. 1-0 Swindon, could we really have a chance of winning a match!!
The Bath side battled hard but were denied a goal with some great keeping from Paige Warman and defending from Nathalie, Jenny, Scarlet, Emma and Orla.
The Swindon midfield of Emily, Holly A, Holly S, Charlotte and Kayleigh
managed to keep the ball moving well and find another Swindon player to pass to!
The Swindon girls continued to apply pressure well, and it wasn't too long before the second goal came, a nice little flick over the goalies stick by Chloe Lewis saw the team go 2-0 in the lead.
Credit must be given to the Bath team who continued to battle hard and had several more opportunities to score but again with some brilliant goalkeeping and defending the Bath side didn't manage to make it onto the score sheet.
A great performance by all the girls, newcomer to hockey Emily Arrell is shaping up to be a great little player, Daisy Mussard narrowly missed getting onto the score sheet and Issy Harding looked much stronger at the back.
Well Done
